Settings & Configuration

Configure your business profile and outreach preferences

Overview

Configure AskUsers to match your business needs. Settings are organized into several sections.

Business Profile

Set up your company information used in outreach emails.

Outreach Configuration

Configure how emails are generated and sent.

Language Settings

Configure the CTA in your emails:

Choose the contact method your customers are most likely to respond to.

Based on your contact preference:

Email Configuration

Configure how emails are sent and where replies go.

Sender Settings

Sender email requires verification before emails can be sent. See Sender Verification below.

Sender Verification

To send emails, you must verify your sender email address:

Enter Sender Email

Go to Settings → Email Configuration and enter the email address you want to send from.

Initiate Verification

Click Verify Sender. A verification email will be sent to that address.

Complete Verification

Click the verification link in the email you receive. This confirms you own the email address.

Start Sending

Once verified, you can send outreach emails from that address.

Verification Status

Verified senders have better deliverability. Recipients are more likely to see your emails in their inbox rather than spam.

Reply Configuration

Reply-to EmailWhere customer replies are directed
Reply DomainCustom domain for reply tracking (advanced)

The reply-to email receives customer replies. By default, this is your account email.

Reply Tracking

AskUsers captures replies through a dedicated reply domain (reply.askusers.ai). When customers reply:

  1. Reply is received at the reply domain
  2. Content is parsed and saved to the conversation
  3. AI analyzes the reply for insights
  4. You're notified of new replies

Reply tracking works automatically. No additional setup required.

Incentive Configuration

Configure incentives offered in outreach emails.

Custom Incentive

If using "Custom" type, enter your incentive text:

a free 30-minute consulting session

This text is inserted into the email template.

Integrations

Stripe Connection

Connect your Stripe account for customer import:

  1. Enter your Stripe API key
  2. Click Connect
  3. Key is encrypted and stored securely

Use a restricted API key with read-only access to Customers, Charges, and Invoices.

To disconnect:

  1. Click Disconnect Stripe
  2. Confirm disconnection
  3. Existing imported customers remain

Stripe integration requires a Growth or Lifetime plan.

Billing

Current Plan

View your current subscription:

  • Plan name and price
  • Renewal date
  • Credit balance

Upgrade Plan

Need more features or credits? View pricing plans →

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your desired plan
  4. Complete checkout via Stripe

Manage Subscription

Opens Stripe Customer Portal for:

  • Updating payment method
  • Changing plans
  • Viewing invoices
  • Canceling subscription

Credit Balance

View your current credit balance and purchase more:

  • Current available credits
  • Credits expiring soon
  • Purchase credit packages →

Credit History

View all credit transactions:

  • Gains (purchases, renewals, gifts)
  • Usage (customer analyses)
  • Expirations

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Multiple Businesses

AskUsers supports multiple business profiles:

  1. Go to Settings → Businesses
  2. Click Create New Business
  3. Configure the new business profile
  4. Switch between businesses using the dropdown

Each business has:

  • Separate customer lists
  • Independent settings
  • Shared credit balance (per account)

Best Practices

Complete Your Profile

Fill in all business profile fields for more effective AI-generated emails.

Verify Your Sender

Verified sender emails have significantly better deliverability.

Use a Good Signature

A professional signature increases reply rates.

Upload Your Logo

Brand recognition helps customers remember you.

Test Incentives

Try different incentive types to see what resonates with your customers.
